Student Voyage Costa Rica Programs

Student Voyage will be offering three unique experiences in Costa Rica for 2010:

The Verano Tico, the Pura Vida Experience & the Service Week Costa Rica

All of the programs are set up so students can take advantage of going abroad without having to take off for a month to live on the other side of the Atlantic. Everyone benefits from an enriching experience abroad! That is why we offer these alternatives closer to home.

SV Verano Tico - Language and Service

The program combines the elements of language learning, cultural immersion and volunteer service in one three week program.  Our students become bilingual while living as an integral part of the community.  Their humanitarian work and quality time with their host families are part of a multi-faceted program that can be a life-changing experience.  As is true of all our programs, we also offer the high quality language courses as well as excursions and activities so students have the time of their lives.

SV Pura Vida Experience

The Pura Vida Experience is designed for either middle or upper school students and, on certain dates, the families are invited too!  The PVE is a shorter option for students and families that seek an exotic adventure for a week to ten days--perfect for Winter, Spring and Summer breaks.  Like all SV programs, the Pura Vida experience is a chance to make personal discoveries in an incredible country, all while having the time of your life with friends and family.

SV Service Week Costa Rica

This week-long service trip is designed so students can travel and expereince a new country and culture while helping others at the same time. Participants complete 25 hours of community service working alongside the families they are helping.  The projects that students carry out make a direct impact in the community and are a valuable opportunity to practice their Spanish.
