Student Voyage Educator's Section
Hola Spanish teachers!

The purpose of this page is to explain why you should encourage your students to study with Student Voyage.  You may have been contacted by other organizations, but no program can offer the unique and fulfilling adventure we provide for students.  The following information succinctly explains the benefits for both students and teachers. 

  • No burden or extra work for teachers -- We take care of every detail.  We never ask teachers to plan a program, organize a group or travel with students (unless you would like to).

  • Direct contact with the language and culture -- We place students in the heart of the culture.  Not only do they live with families, but through our intercambio program they are matched with local students of the same age so they always have a friend and conversation partner.  In addition, each day we offer cultural and athletic activities so students are constantly involved and speaking Spanish. 

  • College credit and community service hours -- Students can earn college credit for the courses they take and our curriculum is designed to help prepare them for the AP exam.  In addition, the volunteer opportunities we offer show students a side of the host country few Americans ever see.  They can even earn up to 25 hours of valuable service hours.

  • Teachers earn cash rewards and travel for free -- Teachers can earn rewards for each student who enrolls or enjoy an all expenses paid trip to Spain or Costa Rica.  For the complete description of the Student Voyage Educators' Awards Program please click here.

What do we ask from teachers?

We simply would like to make your students aware of the opportunity of studying with Student Voyage this summer.  In many schools we briefly visit Spanish classes to share our experiences with the students.  The presentation can be as short as 15 minutes.  Generally, we will also schedule a parent meeting for a later date.  We find that this process is the most effective way to generate the students' excitement without taking up class time or burdening teachers.
